Pastor W. F. Kumuyi has greatly impacted my life through his teachings and exemplary lifestyle of holiness, discipline, and unwavering devotion to God. Through his life, I have learned that the surest path to true honor and influence is faithful service to God, for He exalts those who remain committed to Him. His example continues to inspire me to pursue godliness, integrity, and wholehearted dedication to God’s work.

My name is Barr Chukwuemeka Ogalagu. I am a member of the Young Professionals Forum, Deeper Life Bible Church. I grew up in a family where there was no discussion about God's word, no prayers, no family devotion and the likes. I grew up as a delinquent boy given to smoking- both cigarettes and Marianas, an alcoholics, immoral and given to different vices. After my secondary school, i became a trader in Gboko, Benue State. One day, while in my shop, a young man from the Deeper Life Bible Church invited me to a Sunday service. I got soundly born again and joined the DLSO arm of Deeper Life Bible Church. I then began to listen to several tapes of Pst Kumuyi and became hungrier for God's word and prayers. I could no longer smoke, drink or engage in my former lifestyle. I read a book written by Pst Kumuyi titled ' making a successful Youth'. This book eternally shaped my career path. After reading this book, I made a drastic decision to pursue a career path of becoming a lawyer no matter the obstacles. Today I am a lawyer, CEO of a law firm, a Christian leader(actually the leader of the YPF in Kubwa region in FCT). Pst Kumuyi contributed immensely in shaping my life and career.

I first came into contact with the ministry of Pastor (Dr.) W. F. Kumuyi during my secondary school years through the Deeper Life Schools Outreach (DLSO). What particularly attracted me to the ministry was its sound, expository teaching of the Holy Scriptures—a distinctive approach that is uncommon in many ministries—as well as its emphasis on the practical application of biblical principles to everyday life. I also had the privilege of attending the dedicated Youth Bible Study programmes, where success principles were taught and provided in print for personal study and application. One of the experiences that greatly endeared me to the ministry was the culture of academic excellence it fostered. The “Deeper Students” were consistently recognized as outstanding performers in their various classes, demonstrating that Christian commitment and academic success can go hand in hand. Beyond academics, the greatest blessing I received through the ministry was my salvation experience in 1999, when I gave my life to Christ. Since then, I have continued to grow through various Christian experiences and spiritual teachings within the ministry. I am also a beneficiary of the Success Academy for Youths (SAY), which contributed significantly to my personal and professional development. Through the transforming power of God’s Word and the prayers of our Father in the Lord, I have been blessed to become a Chartered Accountant. Furthermore, through the ministry, I found my life partner and have been blessed with two wonderful children. Today, I stand as a living testimony to the far-reaching impact of the ministry of Pastor (Dr.) W. F. Kumuyi. My life bears witness to the truth that holiness is indeed the secret of excellence and success in every aspect of life.

My life has been deeply impacted by the teachings and personal examples of William Folorunsho Kumuyi. At a point when I felt stuck in my career, I drew strength from the stories he shared about his own journey—how he faced similar challenges and pushed through with determination for the sake of a greater future. Those insights reshaped my mindset and gave me the courage to keep moving forward. Beyond that, he has been a consistent spiritual father to me since childhood, guiding my values, strengthening my faith, and shaping the person I am today. I am truly grateful for his influence in my life.

Pastor Kumuyi has been a strong influence on my spiritual growth, character, and personal development. Through his teachings, I have learned the importance of integrity, discipline, humility, and total commitment to God. His consistent emphasis on living a life of holiness and purpose has inspired me to remain steadfast in my faith and values, both in my personal life and professional career. As a Communication Officer, I often face situations that require wisdom, patience, and ethical decision-making. The biblical principles Pastor Kumuyi teaches have helped me approach my work with excellence, honesty, and a desire to positively impact others. This has earned me the name mummy GO my office. His life of simplicity, dedication to God's work, and unwavering commitment to the truth continue to motivate me to pursue a life of service and purpose. I am grateful for the spiritual guidance and practical lessons I have received through his ministry, which have shaped me into a more responsible, compassionate, and God-centered individual.

One key thing I have gained from studying Pastor Kumuyi’s life and teachings is a clearer vision for my own life. His background, early life, and ministry journey reflect resilience and total dependence on God. This has become a guiding blueprint for how I approach my goals and personal vision.

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi has greatly influenced both my Christian life and professional career as an educator and mathematician. Two testimonies from his life have particularly shaped my journey. The first was his account of receiving a difficult mathematical research challenge and seeking God's guidance through prayer, after which the Holy Spirit gave him insight that led to a solution. This strengthened my conviction that God is interested in every aspect of our lives, including academics and professional work. The second was his testimony about how, after giving his life to Christ, his approach to teaching changed from enforcing discipline merely through punishment to genuinely caring for and guiding students in love. As a teacher, this transformed my own approach to classroom management and student mentorship. Today, I discipline and counsel my students from a place of love and genuine concern, which has strengthened my relationship with them and increased my positive influence on their lives. Professionally, I have also learned to depend on God for wisdom in solving challenging mathematical problems, leading to greater confidence and effectiveness in my work. Through these lessons, Pastor Kumuyi's life and ministry have left a lasting impact on my character, teaching philosophy, and career development.
